In the development process of DornerBRM most attention was paid to the simple operation system for the dispatcher.

There are many resources to plan and coordinate in a construction company.

DornerBRM (Building Resource Management) administrates all resources. With this system, we have shifted the order management and resource planning from paper to PC.

The system manages master data like customer- and site adresses, drivers and vehicles as well as resources which have to be planned. You will never miss any appointment with the reminder function.

Order data is recorded, customer orders and resource allocation are shown with bar charts. After definition of activities the resource planning starts automatically. Drag&Drop function supports the allocation of customer orders and resources.

The communication between the dispatcher and the vehicles/drivers takes place via a telematic system. Orders and general information are transfered directly from DornerBRM to the touchscreen in the vehicle.

The position of the vehicle and the status signals are transfered from the vehicle to the dispatching system. The dispatcher is always informed of the vehicles’ location and the status of the order.

Further advantages of telematic are:

• navigation system
• timekeeping
• hands-free equipment via bluetooth

The system can be connected via an interface with the invoicing system to release delivery dates and replace master data like customer- and site adresses. Production orders are being released to the external factory.
