How to Place Concrete?
The selection of the right feeding device, proper compaction, and
sufficient curing is just as important as the selection of the right
concrete mix.

Formwork
- placing method, placing type, and concrete mix
- the entire formwork must be totally prepared
- the formwork must be steady and the supports must be tight
- formwork surfaces and cavities must be cleaned from dirt and
foreign matter
- release agent must be applied evenly
- dry formwork must be moistened intensively
Reinforcement
The distance between the reinforcement layers and the maximum particle
size must be adjusted to each other in order to be able to place
the concrete without difficulty.
The required concrete cover of the reinforcement layers must be
ensured using spacers.
Placement methods
- the slide of the mixing truck
- the bucket when using a crane
- the concrete pump
Compaction
Compaction using various vibrators.
Curing
Fresh concrete must always initially be protected against frost
(structural damage)
- keeping it moist
- covering with foil
- applying curing agents
Stripping times
After placement, the concrete must remain in the formwork until
it has gained sufficient strength for the construction to carry
its own weight.
