As part of an internship, we offer students from technical and commercial schools the opportunity to put the theory they have learnt into practice. They are directly involved in the realisation of exciting projects. This enables them to acquire specialist knowledge and develop personally.
As Dorner is the partner company of my class, we were able to pay the company a visit or two before my internship. My impression of a friendly and down-to-earth company was confirmed during my time at Dorner. I had the opportunity to be involved in real projects and work processes.
My tasks were varied and diverse, as I was able to get a taste of all departments during the four weeks. I received a very friendly welcome everywhere. I felt at home right from the start and was immediately part of the team. I was able to learn a lot by working closely with my colleagues, who always answered my questions in detail. At the same time, I was often allowed to carry out work independently, which was of real benefit to the company and its employees. There was also plenty of personal contact, for example at lunch together.
The opportunity to work directly in the commercial areas was unique for me. I benefited most from this. I got a feeling for how things actually work in practice and also for what I will do after the HAK. I want to pursue a career in accounting and am grateful that this picture has become clearer for me. In any case, I will stay in contact with Dorner. Who knows what the future holds.
