Julian Deronja and Gabriel Drissner are in the fourth grade at HTL Dornbirn. In the coming school year, they will be writing their diploma thesis in addition to their A-levels. With the support of Christian Pfanner and Thomas Wilhelm, the two students are writing their first scientific thesis at Dorner Electronic.
After completing an internship at Dorner over the summer months last year, it was clear to us that we also wanted to do our dissertation in collaboration with Dorner. In addition to a great product and an excellent team, we particularly appreciate the positive atmosphere and the many amenities in the company.
In our work, we are modernizing the route plan of dornerOptimize. This is currently implemented as a client-server solution and will be displayed on the web once our project is complete. We are using the Angular framework and the Gantt template from DevExpress. The aim is to clearly display the routes of the individual vehicles. Our focus is on the front end. This project enables Dorner to better assess possible opportunities, risks and ideas for future modernization plans of dornerOptimize and evaluate their feasibility.
This practice-oriented work is a special experience for us. We would like to thank the entire Dorner team for their outstanding support. We have been very well received.
