DornerControl controls concrete production in Brenner Base Tunnel
Below the Brenner Pass, the world's longest underground rail link for freight and passenger transport is being built with a length of 64 km. In addition to the two main tubes and the exploration tunnel, there are connecting tunnels, side tunnels and emergency stops as well as 4 lateral access tunnels.
Katzenberger Beton- und Fertigteilwerk GmbH in Wiesing (Tyrol, Austria) has produced more than 8000 segments for the exploration tunnel. Concrete production is carried out with DornerControl and thus stands for the highest quality standards with regard to dosing accuracy, moisture measurement and consistency. From material delivery, dosing, mixing to concrete distribution, DornerControl controls the entire concrete production, documents and archives all production data.
